    a. Founder (1968) and past director of CONNECTION, INC., a non profit community development 
        organization serving the poor in the Cincinnati, Ohio region.
    b. 1982 National Design Award from the Society of American Registered Architects for design of
        Dental Clinic and Offices in Beaver, PA.
    c. 1986 National Design Award from the Society of American Registered Architects for design of
        Bradford Ranger Office for the US Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, at the Allegheny
        National Forest.
    d. 1995 National Design Award from the Society of American Registered Architects for design of
        Cypher Professional Building in Butler, PA
    e. 1986 award from the PA Federation of Historical Societies for the Historic Resources Survey of
        Harmony, PA. (Planning Survey of ALL structures in the Borough from 1804 to the present.)
    f. 1999 National Award for Preservation and Restoration of Freight Station in Beaver, PA, to
       convert to museum of local history.
    g. Guest Critique, University of Cincinnati School of Architecture and Planning.
    h. Guest Lecturer, Community College of Butler County, on Design Process, and Slippery Rock
        University on the National Register Process
    i. Listed in the 'Who's Who in the East'.
    j. Research of 53 lock stations on the Ohio River resulted in the placement of Lock Station #6, the
       Merrill Lock and Dam, on the National Register. Buildings are the oldest remaining lock
       structures on the Ohio River Canal implemented by Col. Merrill. (Col. Merrill designed the
       buildings.)
    k. Recipient of Gold Medal Award from the Society of American Registered Architects, the
        highest award given for service to the profession.
    l. Consultant to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for renovations to the Feast Hall and Great
       House (Rapp House) at Old Economy Village, Ambridge, PA and the Ft. Pitt Museum,
       Pittsburgh, PA. Also Consultant for various projects at Old Economy and Ft. Pitt for work under
       a 5 year professional services agreement administered by John Bowie Associates.
    m. Architectural Consultant to the Clarion County Historical Society, Mars Area Historical
        Society, Beaver Area Historical Society, Cranberry Township Historical Society, Butler County 
        Historical Society, Historic Harmony, Inc., Rapp-Owen Foundation of New Harmony, Indiana.
    n. Western Region Architect for the PA Historic and Museum Commission for historic sites in
        Western PA.
    o. Western Region Architect for the Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) for work
        in the State Parks of this region.
    p. Historic Research and Planning for reconstructing George Washington’s Historic Trip in 1753
        through Butler County to deliver Virginia Governor Dinwiddie’s ultimatum to the French at Ft.
        LeBouef that started the French and Indian War. Contract through Butler County and PA Dept.
        of Community Affairs.


Planning Experience:


    a. Master plan and design of major structures, Monarch at Ocala, Ocala, Florida. Plan was for
        1000 acre recreation community containing a golf course, shopping mall, townhouses, single
        family homes, roads, utilities, and related work.
    b. Master plan for Two Mile Run Park in Brighton Twp., Beaver County, PA. Plan included an
        amphitheater, and an extensive Environmental Impact study as required by US Dept. of the 
        Interior and the PA Dept. of Community Affairs. In 2000, designed additions to the Park area
        and master plan.
    c. Master Plan and Site Selection for location of an Ice Arena in Beaver County. Arena was built.
    d. Master Plan for Universal Park, Penn Hills, PA. Plan included an extensive Environmental
        Impact study as required by US Dept. of the Interior and the PA Dept. of Community Affairs.
    e. Consultant to the Harmonist Historic and Memorial Commission on the Historic Zoning
        Ordinance passed in 1985 for the National Landmark Historic District in Harmony.
    f. Author of Mars Area Growth Study for Mars Area Chamber of Commerce. Study adopted by
        Chamber in 1979. Study area was Adams and Middlesex Townships and included discussions
        with community planning agencies.
    g. Site location study for Buffalo Township Branch of Peoples Federal Savings. Study included
        growth potential of various sites and the community surrounding the selected site.
    h. Analysis of the future growth over the next 1, 2, and 5 years of the Michael Baker Corp.,
       Beaver, PA. This $60 million per year engineering company retained this firm to project growth
        trends to their firm related to their newly adopted reorganization plan. Work is in progress.
    i. In 2000, this office accomplished the Historic Structures Report for the oldest Barn in Western
        PA dating to 1805.
