Dutilh United Methodist Church
Dutilh Road, Cranberry Township, PA

After a disastrous fire destroyed their 1876 sanctuary and fellowship hall, the church embarked on a plan to replace the original building with a larger, more up to date facility. The project included a new greeting area, new sanctuary, new fellowship hall, new Christian education facility, and renovations to the existing Christian Education facility to convert it to church offices.

The front entry – shown in two views – is a proportional representation of the front of the old sanctuary. It is light and airy, and leads to a large greeting area. At each of the sides of the greeting area are the entries to the sanctuary, fellowship hall, and offices. The Christian Ed wing is accessed through a separate outside entry as a result of the large, church sponsored, two session per day pre-school that needed to be separate.

The church acted as its own general contractor, and this office worked with them to ensure that the work was accomplished in an acceptable manner.

The original Christian Education building is folded into the new facility as a seamless transition.

Current work at the Dutilh site includes interior renovations for new sound and meeting rooms.  All photos below are from the original contract, not the most recent.
