First English Lutheran Church
Main Street, Butler, PA

This early work involved the restoration of the interior finishes of this early 19th century church. The roof was replaced, stone cleaned, boiler replaced, and new side porch installed to provide access to the handicapped.

The new side porch used stone from the original quarry. It shows as the light color above. The side entry was also designed for casket access for funerals.

The existing organ was replaced, and new paddle fans installed in the ceiling.

As part of the services to the church, a study was accomplished to sell a large unused building owned by the church to the Butler Area Library. This study resulted in the selling of the building to the Library with the funds used to accomplish the renovations and restorations noted above.
