Hampton Presbyterian Church
Hampton Township, Allegheny County, PA

This project involved the addition of a large fellowship hall, kitchen, classroom, and greeting area to the existing sanctuary. The addition was designed to blend in with the existing structure. The brick was matched, the gable roof was matched, and the window treatment was matched.

This office was called in as a ‘second opinion’ to review the work of an out-of-state design/build firm. After this review, the Building Committee requested a design from this office, which resulted in the commission to construct the facility noted above.

The addition, under the guidance of the Committee and Rev. Dawson, was required to link three different floor levels, three different roof heights, and numerous code issues. The work included overhaul of the existing sanctuary, offices, and former fellowship hall into a choir room and pre-school. The existing heating system was also overhauled.

The structure was constructed for a cost of $940,000. It is an excellent example of the type of renovation and addition work that the firm of Roger A. Weaver, Architect is capable of.
