Two Mile Run Park
Brighton Township, PA

The original park was designed by Mr. Weaver in 1977. The view above shows one of two ten ton rustically designed bridges, with a picnic shelter in the background, and a comfort station to the extreme right. The work included playgrounds, picnic shelters, sled riding slopes, comfort stations, horseshoe and basketball courts, and other recreational facilities.

In 1999 this office was retained to expand the park by an additional 40 acres, and complete an update to the original plan. The update was also to recommend to the township parcels that should be purchased to better enhance the park area of the Township.

This office is working to DCNR guidelines, and with Bureau of Fisheries, in creating a park plan that is consistent with the latest environmental planning requirements. A wetlands study area is being planned for the use of the Beaver Area School District.
